I have a split charge system in my Kangoo with a voltage sensitive relay, made by Durite (part number 0-727-33).

Saves joining into Smart Charging systems.

Sparker

Those are brilliant - a doddle to wire - one big cable to both batteries' positive and one earth wire to work the relay.

Or your local caravan store/trailer outlet will have them in stock. I have one in my Partner van as i use a second battery fitted under the passenger seat and it has worked well for 5 years now with no trouble at all.

Put the earth wire on the charge relay, back to vehicle battery earth terminal, not just a vehicle earth as this circuit is very sensitiveBigGrin
