we have this car in and the speedo is not working at the speedo sensor there is a 12v feed an earth and pin three is the signal wire tookout the sensor and attached it to a drill and the voltage is fluctuating ok it then goes to the fuse box under the bonnet and comes back out and goes to the ecu and at the ecu its still fluctuating but in live data vss is 0 is this a faulty ecu or am i missing something there is no abs on this vehicle

 Fluctuating between what? If you dont have a scope, how about a signal generator? Does the speedo work in acctuators? Do you have a speed reading in live data in ecu or BSI or instruments? Where have I left my glasses today?

no speedo on dash or in live data in ecu dont know about bsi only have a red brick

You say no speedo on dash ? is that in live data or using actuators? You need some proper kit I think!
