Hello !

I am facing a very weird problem with a Peugeot 301. The technician accidentally connected the battery backwards but thankfully, the engine still runs and the car drives normally. However, all electric windows are not working and the radio as well. I have checked the fuses and non of them were blown. Which is weird. I have done the BSI reset procedure many times with no luck whatsoever.Upon testing the BSI, it was found that 5 P6KE43A diodes were shorted on the board. However, I am not sure if these are the culprit.

My BSI has part number 9807531680. BSI N02.

Any help, Please?

I would suggest that you need a new BSI. I would also suggest that you might want to discuss that matter with whoever connected the battery up in reverse.
I don't know about the diodes you say are damaged but could whoever proved that maybe repair the damage?

Thank you for all of your inputs.

It was in fact the BSI. Repaired the diodes and all is working fine. No replacement was needed.

Still no mention of the correct model OR the so called tech. who connected the battery backwards (more difficult than connecting it the correct way around)

Over loaded the one way valves then Laugh
