HiI hope someone may be able to help
I have just changed my engine on my dispatch 1.6 tdci 07
I tried to start it but it will only start for a second or two then cuts out, i then loosened one of the fuel injector pipes by a fraction and it starts but sprays fuel out. When i tighten the pipe it cuts out again
If anyone can help i would be grateful Thanks

Oh PLEASE for you and anybody else reading this Do Not slacken common rail injector pipes to check for fuel! You can easily lose a finger or even die.
And, having slackened it, you should now really replace that pipe. Do you have any concept of the pressures involved?
That said it might suggest (no more than that!) a faulty injector though. Was the "new" engine running before you changed it, what other work have you done on it and is there any diagnostic data that might be of interest?
Oh and was the engine code exactly the same as the previous one?

HiI have one of those cheap diagnostic handheld machine came up with Maff sensor My intention was not to loosen the injector pipe but when the injectors were changed the pipe wasnt quite tight enough thats when it started then i realised it was shooting out diesel so i turned it off. I mean it only took a tiny bit to ensure it didnt leak then tried to start it again and it wouldnt start. A guy was meant to come out and put it on his machine but let me down. It has Exactly the same engine codeThe engine i put in was a running engine
I have changed the crank sensor and the fuel filter and cleaned the air sensor

This is not what you posted originally ! " i then loosened one of the fuel injector pipes by a fraction and it starts but sprays fuel out "

We need facts and honesty to help you.

The injectors were transfered from old to new engine ?.

If you crank it several times for 15 sec you should get a p code relating to the non start fault.

Otherwise we are going to need some info from live data from a scanner whilst cranking.

Has it a primer or lift pump?
