I did however check voltages and can confirm that got 12volts going in and earth continuity but nothing on blue wire which I presume is the feed back to ECU. Will disconnect as suggested and take for a drive and see if any improvement.

Thanks,

Diagnut.

RE: Jeep Cherokee XJ

The dreaded VM engine have have loads of problems with these but first guess if you do not have access to live data is t drive it with Air flow meter disconnected. If performance improves you are on the right track

Mark

Performance and Diesel centre. Vehicle serviced and after test driving found that it is losing power. Have checked EGR valve with vacuum and poppet valve is opening. Turbo is working and definitely producing but vehicle is very lazy. I'm thinking Advance Fuel Solinoid or Mass Air Sensor but when checking for fault codes none of these are coming up.

Look forward to hearing from anyone who has worked on these and can lead me to where fault could be because without Diagnostic code this could lead to many bits being changed until fault is found.

Regards,

Diagnut.
