I to would be thinking possible issue with servo / pedal holding master cylinder on slightly

well why did you change it.. i'd be checking the pushrod and servo if problem wasnt there.. or you could have a faulty master..

but look carefully inside of servo and you might find some water...hope this might help

Hi , Have you got slight free play on the brake pedal? Or is there no free play on pedal and holding brakes on .

This is an odd one, sounds like an ABS pump issue.

Could it not be that the pads are simply rusted into the slides?

With collapsed flex hoses pistons wouldn't be released when opening unions at mc.

Are you 100% sure the rear brakes are not partially applied as well?

Has the master cylinder pushrod clearance been checked?

Just because you cant get your head round it doesnt mean it hasnt happened ............................i cant get me head round why you changed the master cylinder without checking everything properly

I have thought of this, but what are the chances of both hoses collapsing at the same time? Thanks for your help just can't get my head round it

Suggest you check the flexi hoses havent collapsed internally

Hi, I released both bleed nipples on each calliper and the pistons in the callipers pushed back freely, bled the brakes, drove the car again for about one mile and they bound on again. I slackened both brake pipe unions into the master cylinder, the brakes released and the car could be pushed freely.

Why did you change the master cylinder???

Have you checked the front brakes at all ??

Hi, I have a vw polo 1.4 tdi 05 reg and the front brakes are binding, I have changed the brake master cylinder, I have driven about 1 Mile and the brakes binded again, any ideas? Please
