2003 bmw z4 airag light on present code is

986a "Resistance of firing circuit thorax Airbag Rear left"

I hav had the pannel off the door and checked the wiring in the shut none of which is damagded and cleaned the connections in the shut and have swapped the airbag form the other door and still can not clear this code it is coming back straight away. Using a snap on solus pro on 10.2

Any ideas of wiring diagrams avaliable?

 Has it been it been involved in an impact? and is it possible to read the codes using a different diagnostic tool?

Just in case the Snap on tool is not telling the full story.

How many bags does it show as fitted?  That sounds an odd bag to be fitted in a 2-seater?
