2002 fiesta , not starting eac fail

hi there . i bought a 2002 fiesta 1.4 zetec which had a slight tap on front , car ran fine .
repaired car . ran fine . except one day it wouldnt start . but the tail gate was open . closed it and guess wot .. it ran fine .. ?? :o
anyway . finnished car yesterday   drove it out of garage , went back a couple of hours later . wont start ,, i left the key in the ignition while it was parked .
so . took a plugg out .. no sparks . tried the crank senser. changed it .. wont spark . changed the coil pack . wont spark . checked all the fusses . all ok ..
then as i was pratting about with turning it on and off . a sighn saying EAC FAIL . came on .. so ..???
has anyone got any ideas as im hitting my head against the wall .. thanks for reading ..

,not a ford man but i wonder if its like the escourts where they have a collision switch in the boot, there will be some else later on  that may have had this problem ,

im from doncaster ... just looked at car again .. the dash is all ok now ,, no faults or fail  messages .. but still . NO SPARKS  >Sad bloody cars . lol ty

 Can you check that sign is it eac or more likely ECA which in ford terms means ECU (ECA electronic control Assembly)

Sounds a bit immobilizer related; have you tried another key?    (EAC?  Electronic Anti-theft Control unit).

  sounds right , I knew late diesels had drive by wire but had not had any problems with petrols  YET ?

and no it said eac fault .. but thats gone now .. it wont spark . having a guy plug it in on pewter on tuesday . ouch . bet that will hurt bthe old bear tokens .  BigGrin

And no angus i havent tried another key .. i aint got 1 .  Sad did try another brain and transponder and a key , wouldnt even turn over . immobilizer wouldnt even come off .. strange 1 that . done that loads o times on mondeos and they always work .  :’( :’(
