Hi Guys, simple one really, wifes car 2003, last of Mk1s, 1.4 petrol Fijdi, been needing to do Brake Servo unit for months now. Looks a mare, need to take Servo out, and swap for another due to it leaking air constantly into foot well out bellows. Need quickest way to get it out.? Take pedal box along with bulkhead plate off and into car foot well area and swap, or undo, m-cylinder, undo servo and drop out behind engine down onto floor / belly pan...?
Any ideas anyone, dont want to waste loads of time on it and she cant have car down too long.. grr Cant have them legs aching now eh..
Cheers for any advice in advance.

To update this one as fixed, got a second hand unit off a 1.5 TDI RX4 model, same servo, but rest of pedal box etc diff as Hyd clutch and fly by wire throttle incomparison to 1.4 fidji. Any how.. You will need to be fit, nimble and a contorsionist to do it, but takes around 31/2 to 4 hrs in total, Master cylinder off from engine bay first (awkward bolt behind brake pipes) and vac pipe, then from inside car, remove insulation pad on pedal box, carpet and insulation pad under carpet to allow access to all area bolts and nuts etc.
Disconnect brake linkage, remove throttle pedal out of way totally, undo all bulk head nut units, and then you will need to make sure you have a thin piece of carpet / protector between pedal box and the loom which runs along bottom edge of dash, or you might cut loom as you do a whoo-deeny on working pedal box down and out at an angle enough to allow servo to squeeze out of small gap you manage to make. Pedal box will not drop alot, might help to release throttle cable on manifold end too.? If you have hyd clutch one, you might win more by releasing Q.R. pipe behind pedal box too.
New unit in, with sealant on gasket to stop falling off servo, it all is reverse into place then.
Awkward but as all jobs, well worth doing when you start it up and it runs like a dream and you find u get 4 or 5 MPG more out of car once leak is stopped.
