Hi i'm new here. Greetings everyone!
The cars is PEUGEOT 306, KFX 1.4 75hp, 1999, ECU Sagem SL96-9, and Sagem ignition coil. I have red for the FAMOUS problem:
The engine just stop when he wants and stepper motor is disconnected because ecu dont run it properly.
All vehicles having SL96 – 1 or SL96 – 9 Engine Control Module (ECM).
Reason:
The Engine Control Module (ECM) stops working due to problem with ignition coil.
Solution:
Inspect the label showing the ECM model type and install amended ignition coil.
Change or repair the ECM if required.
Soooo I want to make things right, I am planning to change ECU and ignition coil and stepper motor (if necessary). I bought new Ignition Coil PEUGEOT 306 93-02 Bougicord .
I got another ecu magneti marelli 1ap.40, but have to kill the immo.
So my biggest question is that Bougicord ignition coil amended or its the same like Sagem coil? Visually they look the same i have no idea what kind of modification can be done. And i dont know what cause the problem with the coil... to be sure that i will fix it by changing ecu and the coil.
I dont want to change the ECU , and then damage it again!
What do you understand by "amended ignition coil"?
If you have any suggestions and advises, please share!
