Hi my car is peugeot 206 and it suddenly stopped. not its not starting. my car is auto gear/ petrol. the gear is in the parking and cant turn to nutal also. please advice what can be the reason?

P.S. 3days before it stucked in the sand and we tryed driving forward and backward. but it couldnt come out. then we had to pulled the car by a prado. can that be a reason may be sand entered to the engine or break pads? Sad

Welcome to the BBA forum.

can you give us your vin number in order to get the right 206.

I gather that the engine will not start and it will not come out of park , these two are related as the engine needs to be running for you to come out of park.

my hunch is that since you got stuck in the sand you may have corrosion of the connector that runs through the nearside wheel arch to the engine bay.

Naughty , your sand in the Emirates is different from the uk. this means that corrosion is out of the question.

you will need to find out why the engine will not start first.

do this first

open the drivers door ,get inside ,shut the door try to start the car , leave the key in the ignition in the off position after the atempt to start . open the door. you should start to hear a ping noise repeating its self .

if you don't hear this noise then its possible that you have atransponder fault .

you really need to get the car scanned
