Can anyone help with a Citroen C4 2007 1.6 16v petrol auto, it has a intermittent loss of dash lights, interior blower, electric windows, ABS MIL and EML come on, lots of DTC's;

Engine

P0501 - Vehicle speed sensor signal - coherence

P0591 - Cruise control/speed limiter (RVV/LVV) - coherence

Power Steering

C1208 - Vehicle speed information - short circuit to + or open circuit

ABS

P0563 - ECU excess supply voltage

etc

All DTC's will clear then intermittently come back

It's had a new battery as the old one was very weak. The alternator had checked out ok but I have since noticed only once the voltage go to 16 at the DLC for just a few seconds then drop back to 14 volts.

Has anyone come across this and would this mean the alternator is definitely on its way out?

P

Yes; an NFU is smart-charge.

The VSS has a fused feed from the engine-bay fuse box - which also has functions involved in the windows and climate blower etc. (Not sure what you mean by 'dash lights'.)

Might be worth checking for corrosion of the fuse-box internals; the fuses themselves (including the Maxi ones) and the plugs/wiring.

Scope the Alt output and look for excess ripple or an AC contingent, as others have said *very* closely eyeball the underbonnet fuse box.

After that, gallon of 95 octane and a match.

On a knife edge !
