Hello everyone,

I'm looking for some help with a non start issue on a Peugeot 206. The engine size is a 1.4l and the engine code is KWF.

I have a priming fuel pump with plenty in the tank. I've tested all available fuses and followed a lot of earth and live feed tests from ECU pin data and BSI pin data. I'm confident I have no broken wires or poor earth connections. On live data I get an ECU locked message. I'm not sure if this is an ECU fault or and imboliser issue.

I'm looking for testing procedures for the engine imboliser (which I believe is built into the BSI) and ECU functions for the primary ignition circuit.

Any help would be very appreciated!

Many thanks, Cameron

Is it turning over? What tool are you using to see live data? Any history? Please paint a picture as we are trillions of miles away and need as much info as possible.

The vehicle is turning over fine with a fully charged battery. I'm using a snap on modus ultra.

Ok, so going Into the BSI data menu, the Ecm is locked. Keys 1-5 synchronized says no. Transponder marker recognised says no.

Would this be pointing towards a key fault?

Many thanks for the replys so far

It points to the BSI not seeing the transponder. lots of info on this here if you look, like does the key in reminder work when you open the door.

Do you have any kit to check if the key reader is working ?

Have you tried reprogramming the key ?

All basic stuff really.
