After having a bit of a ding dong this week with our supplier of a certain brand of brakes we have been invited to have a visit of the factory to see their set up and quality control after we slated their QC.
Just wondered if BBA have ever thought of an open door day to show even an invited few what goes on behind the doors??
Thanks.

I have seen some magazine articles and such like over the years I just think it would help customers (trade) what goes on. I admit I still will not use the brake brand as they have supplied us with utter rubbish, a caliper that once bled up would not release out the box!!!!

Yes it was a brake supplier. Some of the quality parts they send out has to be seen. They have given us free discs in the past "to try" and they have corroded in 7 months! The last tempter was double toolbank on this brand of brakes but the quality is simply not there no matter what bribes they offer.

brake discs corroding ?

Surely that can happen in a matter of minutes depending on conditions and environment ?

Although true, there are some terrible quality parts out there, from brand names that are very widely used.

That’s the problem with cast iron, if it is clean and gets wet it can rust in minutes, leave one for a few weeks in the right circumstances (parked at the side of a well salted winter road) and you can have any brand of cast iron disc in a real state within months. This is going to become a HUGE issue with hybrid and electric cars, the drivers range anxiety and parsimonious driving style using regenerative braking will lead to annual failure of brake discs at MOT time.

Vile Invention

Dark was that day when Diesel conceived his grim engine that begot you, vile invention, more vicious, more criminal than the camera even, metallic monstrosity, bale and bane of our culture, chief woe of our Commonweal. How dare the Law prohibit hashish and heroin yet license your use, who inflate all weak inferior egos? Their addicts only do harm to their own lives: you poison the lungs of the innocent, your din dithers the peaceful, and on choked roads hundreds must daily die by chance-medley. Nimble technicians, surely you should hang your heads in shame. Your wit works mighty wonders, has landed men on the Moon, replaced brains by computers, and can smithy a "smart" bomb. It is a crying scandal that you cannot take the time or be bothered to build us, what sanity knows we need, an odorless and noiseless staid little electric brougham.
