The fuel injection timing control solenoid is fitted to the pump, with the feed and earth supplied by the pump control module. Check the wiring to the solenoid and feed + earth. If they are all okay, I'd change the solenoid. Remember, it could be an ecu fault also.

voltage low means an interuption in the circuit or ground to control unit from pin 25 of the engine ecu to the pump ecu there are some test steps to run through, depends on how deep you want to get involved pm if you want to go further but you could possibly be looking at an ecu ,Regards TB

hi,

thanks for that which one is the solinoid is it the one nearest to the gear box on the top of it,if i remember right there are 3  things on the top that have plugs into them,i was going to change the pump,

i did replace the edu with a good one that i got from my local vauxhall breaker and i plugged this one into a different car and it didnt bring the fault up thats why i presume the edu is ok

thanks

two ecu's on this vehicle one at the top the other down the back below the pump, it could even be a spill valve fault thats why there are further tests to be done,Regards TB
