Ask your postman for some of his little red elastic bands.

They're ace for jobs like that.

Instead of launching them at the tdci owner, maybe you could find a very strong band to launch the actual owner:

Hi all Phill here back on passat

checked injectors all have a resistance of 200kohms presuming that this is  most likely correct as there all the same, fitted new loom cause the old one is in poor condition, tried to start it no go  codes for injectors never came back as before after i cleared them but i was left with this code (in between this battery when flat because i left ignition on overnight)

 Fault Found:
005399 - Power Supply Relay for ECU (J271 or J363): Electrical Malfunction
               P1517 - 007 - Short to Ground

i also rechecked resistances at multiplug (disconnected)  all read 200kohms across terminals but no 1 and 4 when checked to battery earth are know a problem, removed wiring plug and traced to no1  injector supply reading 70ohms to earth and the other terminal reading 200kohms to earth

so have i got this right no 1 injector is faulty and  where will i find power supply relay and what should i be looking for

thanks Phill

Leave number 1 injector unplugged and see if the engine starts.

I agree, unplug the injector and see if it runs.

This is a problem I have been having, obtaining injector 03G 130 073 DX from Bosch rather than from VW. I am surprised they say it will be available. 03G 130 073 GX for the BKD is available but the one for the BKP is not.
