hi  can anyone shed any light on this one we have a 306 its had the head gasket replaced and is now overfuelling  big style the injectors appear to be wide open i.e full throttle delivery ,fuel pressure,, ok map sensor ok but changed ,valve timing correct, no bust keys or jumped ,,belt have had head off again , no problem , changed ecu ,changed injectors for s/h set ,changed throttle body  ,coolant sensor,, air temp sensor, fuel regulator  and rail ,no blockage in return to tank,no codes in ecu ,engine earth ok wiring ok to sensors and ecu ,tps changed ,only thing that appears amiss is engine vacuum 1200 mb but no reason for it ,as i say valve timing is spot on even tried it a tooth either side of correct with no improvement, if you knock off the inertia swith the engine runs ok till the fuel runs out in the rail, a mate of mine reckons he,s had the same fault and cured it with a set of injectors ,the ones i fitted where sec hand ,and I wonder if they stick if left out of service for a while any ideas ? cheers swe

only thought that i have would be to scope the injectors and see whats happening wondering if the earth side has gone to ground holding them open at full chat could possibly test with a dmm with the ecu disconnected and see if you still have continuity on earth side, or you could get the injectors tested, Regards TB

Pending engine info; have you misplugged the MAP's plug on to the injector loom?
