Hi,

Have this micra in at the moment for battery draining in about 2 or 3 days.

The problem I can see is that the ameter shows 0.7amps constantly being used unless imobiliser fuse is pulled.

Has anybody had this before?

I thought this could be a configuration problem or software update needed after looking through the internet. But the dealers say no, but are wanting 3 hours @ £80 an hour to start with.

Thanks, David.

K12 ? with/with-out intelligent key ? and what fuse number ? so we can check what runs off that fuse.

Thanks Kev.

Yes K12

Witthout intelligent key, (if that means not keyless system  & normal key used )

Not sure on fuse number as yet, will have another look. I remember it being 7th from left inside the cabin fusebox & clearly labelled imobiliser.

When fuse is pulled there is also a relay click from near the glovebox area ( & ameter reading drops ), of which I assume is where the imobiliser box fits.

Will look during tomorrow for mre information from the vehicle.

Regards, David

From memory immo box is on the steering column (i,m old but memory is normally spot on) and dont think it has a relay, so fuse,s could be marked wrong.

I think the fuse you refer to covers.

central locking  Immobilizer  Interior lightening  luggage compartment light  lights on buzzer starter button (10 amp)

Hello David,

Ive got the same issue with my 2003 Micra. Ive just talked to a service technician at my local Nissan Dealership with 30yrs experiance and he tells me he's never heard of the problem and Nissan UK have no such issue logged against the model.

Could you please advise me which dealership you took your car to.

Thanks

Hello, could you please provide some more info. The name of the dealer would be good so that I can find out what they did. I don't mind paying for an update, I just don't want to face a huge bill while the dealer diagnoses this by substituting various ECUs. I have measured the current consumption and it drops from 250mA to 15mA when I isolate the immobiliser. This is with the ignition off and would make a huge dent in battery life!

Thanks for any help.
