The pedal sensor is 1J1 721 727 D and should take plug part number 3A0 973 813 which is listed as being 6 pin so you have me there. The colours you mention are as for the up to 2000 model Polo Classic but that still has six wires with a green wire in addition to those you list. Can you get the part number off the plug and sender?

Sorry for delay in replying crasher,

part number of sender is as you say   1J1 721 727 D

with 5 wires coming out of body, part number on multi plug 3A0 973 813

when looking inside plug it has 5 pins with pin number 5 missing.

Thank you for your help

dode

PS when van is in workshop it revs ok but revs hang, then when driven short distance it goes into limp home mode with no throttle ???

could it possibly be the speed saensor, sorry crasher i`m going nuts here.

thinking of a change in carreer to selling lucky white heather on dtreet corner lol

thanks again in advance

It should have been 3A0 973 813, I miss keyed it.

Do you mean pin 6 is missing?

Hi crasher,

yep only 5 pins in the multi-plug, hole where pin number 5 is in multi-plug has no wire coming from sender to it.

Where the wires come from the throttle sender and fit into the multi-plug on the top of the plug at the numbers, number 5 has nothing going into it

regards dode
