hi all .can any one help me  please ,my 2001 Ford Ka is only firing on 2 cylinders   there is no spark at the plug end of the ht leads so its not the plugs .the cylinders that are not firing are 1 and 4  has any one else come across this problem ?

Welcome to the BBA forum

either one side of the coil pack has gone or a wiring fault or an ecu problem.

Best thing to do is get it read for fault codes with a scanner & see what fault codes come back

PS a few more details ie engine code,size etc

will it be ok to drive 4 mile to my local garage  ? i'm no machanic as you may of guessed ..it is very rattle rattle with only 2 cylinders    thanks for your help Rob  steve//

NO,do not drive it,there is also a possibility it has or could damage the ECU. If you can get a coil for it,replace it along with new quality spark plugs and hope the ecu is ok.
