ok i am really stuck mondeo Mk 2.0 petrol car cut out ,got no starter working or fuel pump ,fans don't run ,found earths missing on both of these ,red led flash's steady but soon as key turned goes straight off ,all the earths corroded under the battery and fuse box all cut back and replaced still no joy help please

Earth missing on the starter motor? You sure?
Have you code read the pats system/ Engine ecu?
Have you brought it as a none runner or did it just suddenly cut out?
Have you got a spare key to try?
I take it the battery is fully charged and you get ignition lights just no starter action?

hi ,rich all dash light fine ,battery good ,its not my car a frend of family ,runs fine had a new starter 6 weeks ago had a chap out with a code reader no codes

hi,kev all that i know is he had a launch don't know the model but was big with a in bilt printer ,he said it will not talk to ecu he said that he will try to go in by the back way still no good ,then tried to talk to abs etc , still no joy all so don't have print off as he had no paper in printer all so he did say the mil lamp was not working on dash ,spoke to the owner hes don't know if the mil lamp did work ,thanks dean

Eddy,
CMDTCs are all control modules diagnostic trouble codes i.e. global scan.
IDS is Fords diagnostic equipment. If that wont comm with your car then there is an issue.
In theory, Launch should talk to it but we don't know if it is a Launch problem or vehicle problem at the moment.
