Just serviced a Crossfire and trying to reset the service lights, told by Autodata do it as a Mercedes CLk on the dash buttons, press left hand button on dash turn key to position 1. wait till service due comes up (-250 miles ) keep pressing wait for the bleep should be reset, it does all that but then just reverts back to trip milage again tried  lots of permutation with the buttons but the same thing happens ,dealer says they have to reset it. I thought with block excempsion any garage could now reset service lights ??  anyone had any problems with Crossfire`s

Just read this on another forum.

""ignition off, hold in right hand cluster button, turn ignition on,and wait, can take up to 30 seconds.""

In Autodata it says that you need to

switch the ignition on first & press button A twice

then switch ignition off

then press & hold button A whilst switching ignition on

After 10 seconds a new interval appears

release button A

switch iognition off.

The way autodata write it, it is easy to miss the first part as it looks like a title & not part of the proceedure.

hi

Not sure about cross fire, but we find that when resetting mercs the time between switching on ign and pressing button is critical, Auto data says immeditaly. I find it works better for me if i switch ign on with one hand and press button with other. May be worth another try bearing this in mind
