hi there people my mondeo mk 1 auto 1994 is cutting out idles about 750 but when i put the A/C on it gos down to 500 and cuts out and cuts out some times when i put it in to drive .
could this be down to the idle control valve i did get a 2nd hand one for a 5er but i think i should get a new one from fords what do u think any help please thank you

What do you mean you got a new one, NEW WHAT as the pipe was an unkown in the other post.

yeah sorry i got a new 'T' piece from fords and put it on hoping it would fix my low revs and the cutting out but it didnt. so im lost now i dont no what it could be.

Right, so are you saying it idle,s OK with Air con off. To help you WE need true and full fact,s. When was it last serviced???? was the spark plug,s changed ??? Throtle body cleaned???

All the type of info will result in a QUICKER fix.Wink

sorry mate im new to this lol. it idle,s better when the A/C is off but cuts out now and again. but not as much as if the A/C was on.

i dont no when it was last serviced cos i have'nt had the car long iv put new plug,s init. and i have not touched the Throtle body at all. but i have taken off the idle control valve and gave it a good clean. it drives fine but when i come to a stop it cuts out not all the time just some of the time and some times when i go and put it in to drive

hi again people i got a new idle control valve today from fords and my mondeo is still cutting out. all the air pipes are fine i just dont no what it can be now !HELP! please lol

Disconnect the MAF sensor, take it for a drive see what happens.
