Hi guys

   I have a mondeo 2.0 tdci 130hp with me at the minute and between 1400rpm & 1600 there is a vibration coming from somewhere.... From what i can gather this is a common fault but no one knows the cure ...... can you help me?

Could it be the flywheel? they are a known problem on Mondeo.

feels like something rattling of chassis...like an exhaust.... but nothing i can find hitting body

look at the back of the subframe engine side you will find a hose hanging down with a metal plug in the end rattling on the subframe

Crankshaft Pulleys are an "issue" they are a dual mass design as well

Does it go if you press the clutch?

if its dual mass flywheel then it will normally vibrate through the clutch pedal too

Also is it noisy on start up and shut down?

i'd rather be playing with my v8 w00t

Charge air pipe rattling against front left side of subframe some sponge stuffed in sorted the problem
