Since ive got a bad back and my girlfriends car needed a dmf fitted i got a friend to do it who is a ford trained techncian,i drove it to his place and it drove fine,he phoned me up when he had finished and said it had lack of power and thinks the pump is no its way out,i didnt think anything of it,i just thought it was lacking a bit compared to the other one he drives everyday, but when i picked it up it has no power at all as if the turbo was not coming in,im thinking he has done something wrong but he works on these cars everyday so i think it is unlikly,so i was wondering if anyone has come across this sort of prob before, befor i take it back to him.

Bico, as it is over 24 hours since you posted, and no-one else has responded, let me put my foot in it! Do you wish to re-write what you have posted? I find it so 'full of holes' this could take a long time. Lets start at the beginning, no power ? that's not true, the car drives. He might be familiar with Fords, but what diagnostic equipment does he have, where-ever he works 'on the side'? This could be a long episode, like the Golf PD ! What do you think ?
I stand, to be corrected.
