Evening all! One of the lads did a service on a BMW 118 diesel, since doing the service an oil light comes on, when the revs are increased to approx 1800/min the light goes out, when it drops below this level the light comes back on again. The engine warning light is also on. Tried connecting the diag to it but I think the car is too new for my gear and I am getting a no comms.......... Any ideas anyone???

Thanks in advanceWink

Hi,Have you tried an oil pressure gauge to see what is happening,if you keep revving it you might find its an oil pump failure, easy to tell when it starts making a knocking noisew00t

Hi,

Not wanting to state the obvious, but; has anyone checked the oil level in the engine to see if it is correct?

regards,

Theo
