Costumer has asked me to look at his van. Complaint is it will not rev over 1500rpm it is not drivabal. Have tried to scan with with launch no coms. Have used the proscan and had to go under peugeot expert 2.0L hdi got coms no fault codes stored. Replaced air flow meter but fault is still present. Has anyone got any idea of what it could be. thank you for any help .

Blocked fuel filter?

Blocked cat?

Been run on any "funny" fuel?

Ahh; I nearly forgot; these have a dozer [butterfly] valve on the entrance to the inlet manifold - and the plastic link falls off the ball, leaving it shut.

Not as far as I know - letting air into the engine is kinda necessary.

It shuts at key-off to ease the final engine shudder and also closes on the over-run to assist the EGR valve - it certainly shouldn't be shut when you want to rev the engine.....
