hey all right here we go the aa brought us a fiat stilo 02 1.2 with engine 188a5000 the engine wont rev put the solus scanner on and it pulled p0220 throttle position circuit and p1221 throttle position 1 cicuit. so i changed the tps sensor witch is the complete accelerator pedal witch was only held on by two out of the four bolts that hold it on also there was scrap yard paint on it. still no change with the new one fitted still the same codes. iv checked the throttle body conection witch has the plastic clip broken on it. i just phoned the customer who has only had the car a week i shall chec resistance between the tps and throttle body next. any other ideas? many thanks josh
im just glad i saw the light and brought a jap car

Accelerator pedal has the Pedal Position sensor.
Throttle (on the engine) has the Throttle Position sensor.
I am afraid you've changed the wrong one.

2 possibilities:
Either the new switch is defective or
The Solus is not showing the right opening.
Try reading with EOBD, maybe you can see the pedal position.

The chance of the ecu being defective is a lot smaller than the Solus being wrong.
How does the car drive now? Any problems?

What's the description in live data? Pedal position or Throttle valve?
