do you know what codes were in the memory if not you need a diagnostic check to find out what codes are stored

check air hoses for splits, its most times the one coming up from the intercooler to the egr valve.

the fault is turbo boost pressure related, has your turbo vacuum or electric actuator ?, it could also be the vane unit in the turbo exhaust housing sticking.

dont worry about the p1000 code it wont give the problem you have , initially it appeared that you had boost pressure related problems but from the code numbers they are not linked.

it would be worth ruling out a possible seizing vane unit in the turbo.  very simple to test the turbo with electric actuator, lift the bonnet stand by the drivers door, start the car by putting your hand through drivers window aperture and at the same time peer through the gap beneath the bonnet, watch the arm/rod the actuator drives  it should travel  forward until the offset pivot on the actuator is approx at 1 o clock , turn off the engine and it should return the pivot to approx 9 o clock.

the vacume type you need two people, watch the rod that comes from the unit the small vac pipe goes to,  when the car is started in should retract into the vac capsule approx 12 to 15 mm.

it may also be better to have the codes read with ford specific diagnostic equip.

The electrically operated actuator did not start until mid-August 2005 production, and, AFAIK the 115 never had a variable geometry turbo!

I stand, to be corrected.

for me i dont take notice of cut in dates for component change on fords, can have two cars same age and spec side by side and have differences, it could still be a punctured diaphragm or control fault even if its not a vv.
